In my three years at Glorious Gaming, one of the most interesting opportunities I had was to create the packaging direction for the Glorious Forge initiative.
Glorious Forge was a sub-brand of Glorious Gaming, specifically created for limited edition experimental releases. Primary focus was a scalable packaging artwork direction that could be done quickly and without full studio team support, while giving an unboxing experience above that of a white box.
A secondary, self imposed goal, was to incorporate the barcode and certification and SKU information in a way where they were part of the design and essential to the balance of it, rather than an afterthought.
The resulting art direction was based around an illustrated tileable pattern and product information. It also offered the option to be printed in full color, or as a single plate base print and CMYK sticker depending on quantities.
